Anne L. Day- Healing Touch Hawaii Founder & Instructor

Anne has over 30 years experience as a holistically oriented nurse and health educator.  She has a Masters in Health and Wellness, is a nationally certified Healing Touch Practitioner and Instructor, Holistic Nurse, Journal Instructor and Massage Therapist.   Anne  founded Healing Touch Hawaii in 1996, and helped develop two holistic health centers in Colorado.  Anne is a past-president of Healing Beyond Borders.  She travels extensively, speaking and teaching about heart-centered healing and holism.   As Director of Healing Touch Hawaii, Anne’s mission is to bring healing and heart-centered living to as many people as possible on the islands.

Lori Protzman


Lori Protzman

RN, BS, CHTP/I

Lori has been an instructor of Healing Touch since 2000. She brings to the role her passion for heart centered work, connecting to each student her energy and joy for teaching Healing Touch. Professionally, Lori is a registered nurse and administrator. After 26 years with Kaiser, she recently retired and began a new professional career as Asst. Executive Director for Bristol Hospice. In this work she is able to fulfill her greatest joy, supporting patients and families at end of life and bringing Healing Touch to the bedside of the dying.

Sarah Porter, Healing Touch practitioner


Sarah E. Porter

RN MS MPH PhD CHTP/I

Sarah has over 20 years of Healing Touch practice. Her background is mental health and women's health with a holistic perspective. She is the co-author of the book, “Women’s Health and Human Wholeness”, emphasizing the necessity of bringing the feminine principle back into the health care system. She has taught nursing at University of Hawaii, Oregon Health Sciences University, and St. Luke's College of Nursing in Tokyo. She conducts healing touch workshops in Hawaii and Japan. She lives and practices healing touch on Maui.
